About Down To Folk

In November of 2020, Ariel approached Chad with an idea for a folklore podcast called Down To Folk.
Chad has since chipped away at that and all that remains to this day is the name.

In March of 2021, some random dude with a hyphenated name reached out to the show to say it was kinda cool, and two months later, he was abducted, errrrr hired on as a writer for the show.

So what have you learned from all this?
I you really, really like a podcast, don't tell anyone or they will but you to work.

And more importantly if you have a really great idea for an incredible podcast
with a super niche audience...

Do Not Tell Chad!

About the Hosts

Ariel Cooksey

Ariel Cooksey was born in the heart of the Smoky Mountains in Tennessee, but has been raised a Texas girl. Her first forayed into podcasting was on July 2, 2019. Ariel is a wife and mother, and is absolutely besotted with her capricious little girl and her saintly husband and sound engineer Paul, who frequents as a guest host on Malice. She is a lover of pugs and other squishy-faced dogs, but currently just has a rescue kitten named Ziggy Stardust. She’s a lover, not a fighter, but she’s also a fighter so bring your bullshit at your own peril. Ariel’s mutant superpower is her ability to relate literally anything to Ted Bundy (we don’t pick our talents). Her interests are also invested in history, folklore and traditional narrative.

Chad Brockbrader

Former Radio Personality and Current Podcaster (aren't we all). Chad Brockbrader is a West Coast transplant to the East Coast of the U.S. He is the King of Repressed Feelings and has no opinions about anything. He is a walking encyclopedia of useless information (generally regarding celebrity deaths) and is a self-proclaimed borderline schizophrenic.

But for the time being he is the host of “3 or 4 podcasts” (he doesn’t remember) and well as the Social Media Manager for The PodFix Network.

Lloyd Warrington

Chief Engineer of M.A.S.S.K.

Very little is known about Mr. Warrington. But we do know that he is in charge and typically not very happy...about anything.

Enjoys golf, The Office, and Pop Culture References.
